2026 7th thru 12th Grade Freestyle and Greco Season

This is the registration for the Juneau Youth Wrestling Club 2025 7-12th Grade Freestyle & Greco Wrestling Season. Practice days and times have not yet been finalized; but will begin around March 9, 2026. All at the Juneau Wrestling Center. The season concludes after the AK USA Wrestling State Tournament April 30-May 2, 2025.

This registration is also for Middle Schoolers attending the Tanana Tournament.

The registration fee is $175, with a $25 discount for multiple wrestlers. Registration fee must be paid in full upon registration or inquire about potential scholarship opportunities.

During this season wrestlers will focus on learning the fundamentals of Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling and continue to refine existing Folkstyle wrestling technique. While wrestling, we will also focus on having fun, empowering each other to succeed, and instilling a life-long love of our sport. By registering for this season and joining the JYWC, you will have the opportunity to travel with us to three tournaments, the Arctic Warriors Tournament on April 3 & 4, Anchorage Avalanche April 17 & 18, and the AK USAW State Tournament April 30-May 2.

2026 Pre-K through 6th Grade Folkstyle Season

This is the registration for the Juneau Youth Wrestling Club 2026 Pre-K through 6th grade Folkstyle Wrestling season. The season begins Jan 5, 2026 and ends following our SE Clash Tournament on Feb 21, 2026,

New this year we have 3 age groups:
Lil' Scrappers (Pre-K and Kindergarten) Practices are Mon and Fri 5:00-5:45
Practices for this age group are geared towards being comfortable on the wrestling mat and an introduction into the sport of wrestling. We will play lots of games that will introduce body awareness, body control, balance, speed and agility. The desired outcome will be for wrestlers to have fun on the mat and learn to take direction and be "coachable".
Young Legends (1st to 3rd Grade) Practices are Mon , Wed, and Fri 6:00-7:00
Wrestlers will learn the fundamentals of folkstyle wrestling. Some basic technique will also be introduced. This age group will have some live wrestling time to learn to incorporate skills they have learned. Of course, the primary focus will still be on having fun on the mat.
Heroes (4th to 6th Grade) Practices are Mon , Wed, and Fri 7:15-8:30
Here we will work to reinforce wrestling fundamentals and refine existing technique, while adding more advanced moves and positions. Wrestlers in this age group will have a grasp on competition and understand wrestling match procedure. By completion of this age group wrestlers will be ready to compete at the middle school level. As time allows, body strength and conditioning will also be incorporated into these practices. Ideally, by now wrestlers will have developed a life-long love of our sport!

Registration Fee is $175 (includes a JYWC tee), with a $25 discount for multiple wrestlers. Registration fee must be paid in full upon registration or inquire about potential scholarship opportunities.

Pre-Kindergarten to 6th Grade

First you must click on the "Register" button.  This will allow you to log-in (if you already have an account) or register FOR THE WEBSITE.  Then after registering or logging into the website, the seasons, programs, or camps should show up as "available" programs under the "Registration Info" tab. 
Please don't hesitate to hollar if you need any assistance with this process!

Typical open registration dates for JYWC seasons:
-Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade in early January.
-7th grade through 12th grade in early March
These seasons generally conclude in mid May, with some optional tournaments and camps in the summer.

The Juneau Douglas High School wrestling season typically begins in September and ends in mid December.
The Thunder Mountain Middle School season typically begins in mid December and ends in early March.
Students participating in their respective school teams are then highly encouraged to participate in the JYWC season, during the spring.
