Works for AT&T as a faculty mechanic. He was a 1 time runner up and 3 time regional champion for Juneau Douglas High School from 1989-1993 and wrestled for 2 years at North Idaho college. He is one of the volunteer assistant wrestling coaches for Floyd Dryden Middle School. He is also the club’s assistant coach. He has a son, Nate, who has been a member of the JYWC since he was 4 years old.


K - 2nd Grade Coach: Logan Harvey

Logan has worked at Behrends Mechanical for over 10 years. He and his older brother wrestled in Middle school at Floyd Dryden, High school at JDHS and were also both wrestlers in the JYWC. As an adult, he has been coaching for JYWC since 2014 & in 2016 wrestled in the open division at the Alaska state tournament and placed 2nd in Folk & Greco. He has two boys, Eli and Nolan who are both wrestlers in the club.


3rd - 5th Grade Coach: Paul Davis 

Works for AEL&P at the Generation Plant.  He went to Franklin High School in Massachusetts from 1989-1992. He was a 3 time Massachusetts State Champion (4 time finalist). He was also a 3 time New England Champion. He was a Cadet National Finalist in Freestyle. He also was a 2 time Greco Jr. National All-American. In 1992, he was awarded the ASICS All-American Honorable Mention. He attended Iowa State University; however his career was cut short due to injury. He has two sons, Henry & Jed who have been members of JYWC since they were 5 years old. 


6th - 12th Grade Coach: Chad Requa 

Owns and runs Cross Fit Juneau gym. He had been the TMHS head coach for two seasons, volunteered at both Floyd Dryden Middle School and Thunder Mountain High School. Chad has been involved with wrestling for over 32 yrs. He started wrestling at 7 yrs old in Lynnwood, WA for a club called the Wrestling Rhinos and wrestled all the way through High School and into College where he competed in two NAIA National Tournaments. Chad began coaching at the club level over 15 years ago for the club where his wrestling career began. Chad was head coach for the Rhinos up until spring 2009 the year he moved to Juneau. Chad has coached all levels of wrestlers, brand new 4 year olds, State Champions, and National Finalists. Chad has a son, Cody, who has been a member of JYWC since 2009.
